Information for the First Day of School
Hello Patriots,
Here some information to prepare for the first day of school.
Schedules:
All student schedules will be available via Aeries Homelink on Wednesday, August 12th. On Thursday, August 13th, all students will receive a paper copy of their finalized course schedule in their Advisory class. Staff will be available to help direct students to locations of classrooms.
Bell Schedule:
Tuesday-Friday: Campus opens at 7:45am for students to begin to arrive. The first bell rings at 8:00am and the tardy bell rings at 8:05am. Students need to be inside their Advisory classroom before the tardy bell rings. Students will be dismissed at 2:18pm.
Monday: Campus opens at 8:45am for students to begin to arrive. The first bell rings at 9:00am and the tardy bell rings at 9:05am. Students need to be inside their Advisory classroom before the tardy bell rings. Students will be dismissed at 2:18pm.
PE Clothes:
If your student was unable to attend Patriot Day, PE clothes will be available for purchase directly from the PE teachers. Students will be issued a PE lock and locker beginning next week. Students will not be dressing out for PE until next week.
Drop-off and Pick-Up:
Student Chromebook:
Students have been issued a Chromebook. If your student was unable to attend Patriot Day and has not been issued a Chromebook, one will be issued to them during the first two days of school. All students should get their Chromebook ready by making sure that they are fully charged. Students are expected to bring their Chromebook to and from school each day fully charged.
Cell Phone Policy:
In an effort to promote focused learning environments and reduce distractions, we have a policy that ensures our classrooms remain free of personal electronics during instructional time. Cell phones, wireless earbuds, smart watches, and all personal electronics are to be powered down/turned off and stowed in backpacks, not pockets. This means when students arrive at school and until they leave, the electronics need to be put away. If you need to reach your child during the school day, please call the school office 805-474-3500. Students who violate school policy will be referred to administration. Repeated cell phone violations will result in loss of privileges on campus.
Bike Parking Permits:All students at Paulding who are riding a bike or e-bike to school are required to get a parking permit. CLICK HERE or head to our school website to access more information on the process. Students who have turned in their permission slip and got 100% on the quiz can pick up their parking sticker from the front office beginning on the first day of school.
Back to School Event at Heritage Park:
Spirit Week:
Our first spirit week begins this Monday, August 17th. If your student did not attend Patriot Day and receive this years Spirit Shirt, they will need to head to Room 44 at break, lunch or immediately afterschool to pick one up.
Friday Spirit Rally:
All students are encouraged to wear their team color on Friday, August 21st for our first school-wide rally.
